Glamping in the Winter

Is a winter adventure at North Shore Camping Co for you?

Winter is a magical time on the North Shore. Glampers can snowshoe to their heart’s content, sail along nearby groomed cross-country trails, snowmobile the day away, enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior, or simply practice your back country winter survival skills – from the comfort of your tent site.

Here's what to consider when booking your Winter Glamping Adventure:

  • There is a warming stove in the tent that will provide heat but it will not be a heated igloo type experience, as our tents our not insulated.
  • Propane cookstoves will not work when it is -44 degrees Fahrenheit or colder.
  • All tents are equipped with an outdoor firepit.
  • Glampers should be mentally prepared for cold temperatures and dress in layers. Warm boots, jackets, hats, mittens, and underclothing that is suited for extended periods of time in the outdoors is a must.
  • Extra bedding will be supplied during the winter season.
  • Guests are welcome to spend time indoors in our Base Lodge or at nearby Cove Point Lodge.
  • During severe weather, alternate shelter will be provided in our Base Lodge or at nearby Cove Point Lodge.
